Book Cover Illustration

goal

The goal of this project was to create a book cover based on someone you look up to thats well known. I chose St. Cecilia the patron saint of music.

Process

first researched a lot about Saint Cecilia and her journey to saint hood, the biggest symbol representing Saint Cecilia was music/harpe and of couse Jesus. So I decided to create a sort of stained glass window look for this book illustration with St. Cecilia on the front with a harpe and a cross on the back representing Jesus Christ. I think the project really came together nicley in the end especially because in the catholic church we often have lots of stained glass windows with saints in them.
