Children’s Addition Illustration Cards

goal

The goal of this project was to create 3 different cards for kids addition and subtraction cards using an illustration of a randomly selected animal, mine was the elk.

Process

I started this process by researching kids cartoons and elk then used those references to start sketching different versions of the card. In a group critique the three strongest peices were picked for me to go forward with to the final design. I created cute elk cards one with butterflies, one with mushrooms, and one with apples. I made the colors very vibrant, added shadows, and clouds to create a little depth. Overall I would say these cards turned out exactly how I envisioned them.
